A sign-up link is a shareable link (or the short code inside it) your organisation creates from the Clients page. Put it in a newsletter or an email: a company that registers with it is connected to you as its advisor from the moment its organisation is set up, with the access you chose when you created the link. There is no request to send and nothing for the client to approve afterwards, because the client agrees at sign-up, on a screen that names your organisation and the access it receives. Any member of your organisation can create, copy and revoke sign-up links. Open Clients and select Sign-up links, then Create sign-up link. The dialog reads “A company that registers with this link or code is connected to your organisation as its advisor, with the access you choose here.” The code itself is always generated for you — 8 letters or digits, unique to your link — and links have no cap on how many companies may register with them. Select Create link. The dialog then shows Sign-up link ready with the Link and the Code, each with its own Copy link / Copy code button, and when the link expires. Share either: the link takes the person straight to sign-in with the code remembered, and the code on its own can be typed during set-up.
Your plan includes a number of active sign-up links at once (see Plan and usage). Revoking a link, or a link expiring, frees its place. If you reach the limit you’ll see “Your organisation has reached its limit of active sign-up links. Revoke one you no longer need or contact support to raise it.”

What the client sees

  • Following the link opens the sign-in screen with the notice Advisor sign-up code applied. It will be used when you set up your organisation. Someone already signed in to an existing organisation lands on Organisation → Advisors instead, where Enter advisor code opens with the code pre-filled.
  • On Set up your organisation, the optional Advisor code field is pre-filled and, under it, the screen names you and the access you’ll have, for example “[Your organisation] will be connected as your advisor with read-only access.” The person can clear the code before continuing, or type a code they were given instead.
  • A code that can’t be used says why: “We don’t recognise that code. Check it and try again.”, “That code has expired.”, “That code has been used up.” or “That code is no longer active.”
  • Someone joining an organisation that already exists sees the carried-over code, who it connects and with what access, and can select Remove code; it’s applied only if they join as an owner or admin — otherwise, and whenever the code can’t be checked or used, it isn’t applied and an owner or admin can enter it later with Enter advisor code on Organisation → Advisors (see Partnerships).
Once the company completes set-up it appears on your Clients page as Connected-Active, and on the client’s Advisors page as Active. Everything else about the partnership works as usual: the client can change your access or revoke it at any time. The Sign-up links page lists every link you have ever created, newest first, with its Code, Label, Access granted, Status, Uses (shown with the maximum when an older link has one set), Expires, Created and Created by. Search by code or label and filter by status; every status is shown by default: Each row offers Copy link. Any link that is not already revoked also offers Revoke; the dialog asks Revoke sign-up link [code]? and explains “It stops working immediately. Companies already connected through it keep their connection.”
