The first person to set up a new organisation becomes its owner. People who join
later, by matching the organisation’s verified email domain, join as members.
What each role can do
Owners and admins are treated the same for almost everything, they are your organisation’s managers. Members have read-only access to organisation-wide settings.
Where a member can’t act, the screen says so plainly, for example “Only owners and
admins can edit.”, “Only owners and admins can change the branding.”, and “Only owners
and admins can invite advisors.” On the branding screen, members see a Read-only
badge.
The difference between owner and admin
Owners and admins differ in exactly one place: managing other members.- An owner can set anyone’s role to owner, admin, or member, and can revoke access. The one limit: the sole owner can’t be changed or removed, the screen notes “The sole owner can’t be changed or removed.”
- An admin can promote a member to admin, but can’t change an owner or another admin. Attempting it shows “You don’t have permission to manage this member.”
Managing members
Owners and admins manage people from Organisation → Members (titled Members, or Advisors for advisor organisations, “Everyone in your organisation.”). Each row shows Name, Business function / Title, Role (Owner / Admin / Member), Status, Joined, and Last login. From a member’s row you can view details, change their role, revoke their access, or view their logs. The empty state reads “No people match these filters.”Related
