# Navigating AI Ready

> The sidebar, the dashboard, collapsible panels, themes, and the Find command.

The sidebar on the left is how you move around AI Ready. What it shows depends on whether
your organisation is a company or an advisor organisation. This page describes a company
organisation; the advisor sidebar is covered in [Advisors overview](/advisors/overview).

## The sidebar

For a company organisation, the sidebar is grouped like this, top to bottom:

* **Dashboard**
  * **Overview**
  * **Notifications**
  * **Getting started**
* **Capabilities**
  * **Research**
  * **Evaluations** → **AI Readiness**
  * **Reports** → **AI Readiness**
  * **Notes**
* **Management**
  * **Organisation** → **Overview**, **Organisation Profile**, **Plan & Usage**, **Members**, **Advisors**, **Logs**, **Settings**
  * **My Settings**

Top-level entries are shown in bold; the item you are on is highlighted in teal. A small
amber marker can appear beside **Organisation**, **Evaluations**, or **Organisation
Profile** when your organisation profile still needs attention, and beside
**Organisation** and **Organisation → Advisors** when an advisor relationship is waiting
on your review. When you have items
waiting, **Dashboard** shows a dot (it stays there when the sidebar is collapsed to icons)
and the **Notifications** entry under it shows how many.

<Tip>
  The collapse icon, beside the logo at the top of the sidebar, folds the sidebar down to
  icons so the page gets the full width. Select it again to expand.
</Tip>

## Getting help

**Help**, above your profile at the bottom of the sidebar, is one of three ways into the
same menu; see [Help and support](/help/support).

## The dashboard

**Dashboard → Overview** is titled **Overview**, *"Your AI readiness at a glance."* It
brings together:

* **Alerts**, the act-now items, and your **Getting started** checklist on the left.
  See [Notifications and alerts](/using/notifications-and-alerts).
* **Quick actions** on the right: your **Evaluations** (with **Continue** and **View**
  straight into each assessment), plus **Team** and **Profile** shortcuts.
* An **Organisation profile** panel only while your profile is incomplete; once it is
  complete the panel disappears.

### Getting started checklist

The **Getting started** card (also a full page) tracks your setup with a single count
under the title, for example *"3 of 5 steps done"*, and splits into **Set up** (the core
path, which the count follows) and **Discover** (an optional feature tour). Each row says
why the step matters, and carries an action matched to the step and where it stands. A
step you cannot take yet shows as **Locked** with the reason.
The steps are tailored to your organisation type: a company runs assessments and connects
an advisor, an advisor firm adds clients and prepares for their meetings. Full detail is in
[The getting-started checklist](/using/getting-started).

## Panels and cards

Titled panels in AI Ready share one anatomy: a tinted header row with the title on
the left and the panel's actions (for example **View all**) beside it, and, on most, a
chevron on the right that collapses or expands the panel. Collapse the ones you do not
need; the page remembers nothing sensitive, it is just tidier reading.

## Light and dark themes

Use the theme toggle at the right of the top bar to switch between light and dark. The
same option lives in your profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar (**Switch to light
theme** / **Switch to dark theme**), next to **Personal settings** and **Sign out**.

## Find (⌘K)

Select the **Search…** box in the top bar, or press **⌘K** (**Ctrl+K** on Windows), to
open **Find**, *"Search everything you can access."* The box prompts you with **Search
pages, clients, people, notes, reports…**

Results are grouped into **Pages & features**, **Clients**, **People**, **Notes**,
**Evaluations**, and **Reports**. Find only ever returns what you already have access to.

* **Notes** covers your own notes and the ones your team has shared, plus **New note**.
* **Reports** returns your organisation's real reports, and for an advisor, your firm's
  meeting-prep briefs.

If nothing matches, you'll see **No results found.** If Find itself can't load you'll see
**Find couldn't load**, *"Check your connection, then try again."*, with **Retry**.

## Breadcrumbs

Pages show where you are, for example **Evaluations → AI Readiness → Quick Assessment**
on an assessment page. Select any level to jump back up.
