# FAQ

> Common questions about signing in, organisations, assessments, and advisors.

## Signing in and accounts

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Do I need a password?">
    No. You sign in either with a one-time **8-digit code** sent to your work email, or
    with your organisation's **Google Workspace** or **Microsoft 365** account. There are
    no passwords, so there's nothing to reset.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What's the difference between /login and /signup?">
    There isn't one. **/login** handles both signing in and creating an account, and it's
    titled **Sign in or create your account**. If you visit **/signup**, you're sent to
    the same screen.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I use my personal email?">
    No. AI Ready is for organisations, so you must use a **work email**. Personal and
    webmail addresses are refused before any code is sent.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is the sign-in email a code, not a link?">
    Yes. The email titled **Your AI Ready sign-in code** contains an 8-digit, single-use
    code. There's nothing to click; type the code back into the sign-in screen.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Organisations and roles

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How do I join my company's organisation?">
    Membership is automatic. If your work-email domain matches an existing open
    organisation, you join as a **member** when you complete setup, with no approval to
    wait for. Owners and admins can also
    [invite colleagues by email](/accounts/team-members) with a chosen role, but joining
    by domain needs no invitation.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Who becomes the owner?">
    The first person to set up a new organisation becomes its **owner**. Everyone who
    joins later via the matching domain joins as a **member**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I change my organisation's category or country later?">
    No. Category and country are **permanent**, *"Country and category are permanent. They
    can't be changed after you create your organisation."* Everything else about your
    organisation profile can be edited later by an owner or admin.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What can a member do that an owner or admin can't?">
    Owners and admins manage the organisation, profile, branding, members, advisors, and
    logs. Members have read-only access to those, but can still run assessments. See
    [Roles](/accounts/roles).
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Assessments

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Why can't I see the Full Assessment?">
    Completing the **Quick Assessment** clears the Full Assessment's prerequisite; until
    then it's locked, *"Complete the Quick Assessment first."* After that, on the Free
    plan, a Full Assessment run is started with an advisor — reach out to yours, or use
    **Request an advisor match** on the assessment's card.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I edit a run after I submit it?">
    No. Submitting locks the run as a read-only record. To answer differently, take the
    assessment again, that creates a new run and leaves your submitted run untouched.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I take an assessment more than once?">
    Yes. On an assessment you've completed, the button reads **Start a new \[assessment]**.
    You can only have **one run in progress at a time**, so continue or reset the current
    run first.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="When do I get my score and my report?">
    Scoring runs in the background after you submit, so it isn't instant, the run moves to
    a **Scored** state once it's done. Your **AI readiness report** is then written from
    it, usually within a few minutes. You don't have to wait on the page: the status
    updates itself, and **Dashboard → Notifications** tells you when it's **Ready**. See
    [Scores and reports](/using/scores-and-reports).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I download my report?">
    Yes. Open the report and select **Export PDF** in the left rail. The file is produced
    in your browser at that moment, A4 and page-numbered, with nothing to configure.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why does an assessment say it's locked?">
    There are a few different reasons. The **Full Assessment** is locked until you complete
    the **Quick Assessment**, *"Complete the Quick Assessment first."* Separately, an
    assessment can be locked because it isn't part of your organisation's plan, in which
    case it reads *"This assessment is not included in your plan."* And an assessment
    that IS in your plan can show **Allowance used** (its included runs are spent), or a
    retake date (*"You can retake this from ..."*, after a recent attempt): see
    [Allowances and retake waits](/using/assessments#allowances-and-retake-waits). The second one isn't
    something you can clear yourself, talk to your advisor or contact us.
  </Accordion>

## Notes

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Who can see my notes?">
    Only you, unless you turn on **Share with my team**. A shared note is readable by
    everyone in your organisation, but still only **you** can edit or delete it.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I move a note to a different client or report?">
    No. A note's attachment is set when you create it and can't be changed afterwards.
    Write a new note against the right record instead.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I add images or files to a note?">
    Not yet. Notes are rich text only, with no media upload, no @-mentions, and no
    comments.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Advisors and clients

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Is 'advisor' a role?">
    No. Advisor is a *type* of organisation, not a personal role. Within an advisor
    organisation, people are still owners, admins, or members.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How does an advisor get access to my organisation?">
    Only through a **partnership** you agree to. Either side can start it, but the advisor
    gets no access until an owner or admin at the client accepts and confirms what the
    advisor may do. There's never a shared login.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What is a workspace?">
    A workspace is an advisor firm's **private working copy** of a client, visible only to
    that firm, with no client login and no consent involved. See
    [Workspaces](/advisors/workspaces).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I stop working with an advisor?">
    From **Organisation → Advisors**, use **Revoke access** (or **Cancel invitation** if
    it's still pending). This removes their access; you can invite them again later.
  </Accordion>
